Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the MeetAssist Chrome extension, mobile app, or related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use MeetAssist.

MeetAssist is a product developed and operated by MeetAssist OÜ, an Estonian company.

2. Description of Service

MeetAssist is an AI-powered interview assistant that provides:

• Real-time audio transcription during video meetings
• AI-generated answer suggestions based on interview context
• Code problem analysis and solution assistance
• Profile management for personalized responses
• Mobile app sync for viewing transcripts on your phone

MeetAssist works with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other video conferencing platforms.

3. Account Registration

Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to use MeetAssist
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others

Authentication

• MeetAssist uses Google OAuth for authentication
• By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture)
• We do not access any other data from your Google account

4. Pricing and Credits

Free and Paid Options

• MeetAssist offers free credits to get started
• Additional credits can be purchased as one-time payments
• Credit packages provide access to AI features

Payments

• Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers (Stripe)
• All purchases are one-time payments, not recurring subscriptions
• Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if no interviews have been processed

Credits

• Credits are consumed when using AI features
• Purchased credits do not expire
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts

5. Acceptable Use

Permitted Use

You may use MeetAssist for:

• Assisting with job interviews
• Practice interviews and preparation
• Educational purposes
• Personal professional development

Prohibited Use

You may NOT use MeetAssist to:

• Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Record or store audio without proper consent where required by law
• Distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers)

Recording Consent

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws regarding audio recording and AI assistance disclosure. Some jurisdictions and employers require all-party consent or disclosure. MeetAssist does not store audio recordings, but real-time capture occurs during sessions.

6. Intellectual Property

MeetAssist Ownership

MeetAssist, including its software, design, logos, and content, is owned by MeetAssist OÜ. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

User Content

• You retain ownership of any content you upload (CV/resume, profile information)
• By uploading content, you grant MeetAssist a license to process it for Service functionality
• AI-generated responses are provided for your personal use

7. AI-Generated Content

Nature of AI Responses

• AI-generated answers are suggestions based on your profile and interview context
• Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors
• AI responses should be reviewed and adapted to your own words and experience

No Guarantee

• MeetAssist does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI responses
• You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content in interviews
• Interview outcomes depend on many factors beyond MeetAssist's control

Ethical Use

AI assistance is meant to help you articulate your genuine experience. You should not misrepresent your qualifications or experience. Interviewers may ask follow-up questions; ensure you can substantiate your answers.

8. Third-Party Services

MeetAssist uses third-party services including:

• Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription
• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Cerebras) for answer generation and code analysis
• Stripe for payment processing

These AI providers process your data only to provide the service and do not use your data to train their models. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. MeetAssist is not responsible for third-party service availability or performance.

9. Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

No Employment Guarantee

• MeetAssist does not guarantee job offers or interview success
• Interview outcomes depend on your qualifications, experience, and performance
• AI assistance is a tool, not a substitute for preparation and genuine skills

Technical Limitations

• Transcription accuracy may vary based on audio quality, accents, and technical factors
• AI responses may not always be relevant or accurate
• Service availability depends on internet connectivity and third-party services

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEETASSIST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, INTERVIEW OUTCOMES OR EMPLOYMENT DECISIONS, OR ACTIONS TAKEN BASED ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

MEETASSIST'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

By You

• You may stop using MeetAssist at any time by uninstalling the Extension
• You may request account deletion by contacting support@meetassist.io

By MeetAssist

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the Service or other users
• Fail to pay subscription fees

12. Changes to Terms

• We may modify these Terms at any time
• Material changes will be communicated via the Extension or email
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
• If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the Service

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Estonia.
